Jun'ichi Masuda (director of Game Freak), gave us a silhouette of a brand-spanking-new Pokemon that supposedly has a key role in upcoming Pokemon movie, Pokemon Champion Z. This was done on the latest episode of Pokemon Sunday (some Japanese Pokemon-themed TV show). A little later they revealed this Pokemon, and what appears to be its pre-evo. Check the link for the details and larger pics.

Ya I forgot. There is. Granted it's only regarding the speculation of a fifth generation due to what little information they gave us prior to this. I still coulda posted this there anyway, though. =x

New pokemons name is Zoroark. It's a dark type pokemon. It seems like a shinx/luxray type in the sense that they are dark types but they seem more associated with a different type in this case the fire type.

I don't think I'll be buying this game when it's released.

Game-Freak and Nintendo might make this either a really crap game, or possibly stumble onto a gold-mine. I kinda felt like the DP series was kinda lacking and unimaginative. That's just my opinion, take it or leave it. I felt like Fire-red and Leaf-Green were kinda pointless, but I do think that they will succeed with Heart-Gold and Soul-Silver. Besides, how long before everyone, god forbid, stops playing Pokemon all together? I think they should stop cranking out new gens and just stick with what they got. Re-release PKMN Red and Blue on the DS, see how that will do, but please don't make a Gen 6.

Aren't all of the Pokemon games a gold-mine? Despite level of crapiness.

Terrible stuff. I'm a long-term Pokémon player (been playing since '99) and I think the line should have been drawn at 493. This 'new' one and it's pre-evo look dreadful, just looks like Lucario with fur.

I've never shunned GameFreak once about the constant releases of new games in attempts to net more money from their fanbase but this has really taken it too far. It's exactly the same as when Lucario was the avatar for a movie, they are clearly planning (probably developing) an entire 5th generation of little nasties that cannot pertain any originality as the current 493 already have repeats (you know what I mean) of earlier mons.

Well, this has been my first rant related to Pokés before but it had to be said. Utterly disgusted.

The concept is nice, but they need better artists. That looks very poor compared to what they've done in the past.

I must confess I'm a bit skeptical too. I mean...not only does that thing look like Lucario with the SAWNICK THE WEREHOG treatment,they've already done fox Pokemon (Vulpix and Ninetales). Give us a new species of animal to show off that's been Pokemon-ified. =[

Didn't there used to be a thread about what pokemon haven't been pokemon-ified before? I don't think they ever found any...
